GM Diet Day 7 | Brown Rice Recipe & Sample Meal Plan

If you’ve made it to Day 7 which is the last day of the GM diet, then you’d have noticed a significant weight loss and in addition to that you will feel and look great both inside and outside. Those who landed on this page directly can follow our detailed diet plan sorted by day – Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5 and Day 6.

When you entered the GM Diet Day 7, you should see the following changes in your body as well as lifestyle.

  • You’re slimmer by at least 10 pounds.
  • Your sleep has improved a lot (more tired at night and fresh when you wake up)
  • Your digestion has improved.
  • You notice a glowing skin.
  • Finally, you become much more active than before.

If you notice these changes, then I’m sure you’ve done the GM diet perfectly without cheating. Now, it is time for you to finish your final day of General Motors diet where you can have lots of juices.

How to Prepare for GM Diet Day 7?

All you need to do is to stack the fresh fruits for Day 7. You can eat fruits at any time of the day starting with breakfast to snacks and dinner without any limitations. Apart from fruits you should also have brown rice in combination with boiled or stewed vegetables.

A few people may not like the brown rice but it is advised not to skip it because it gives you energy as well as fiber. If requires, you can have Cottage cheese (Indian paneer) as a replacement to brown rice.

What to Eat on Day 7 of GM Diet?

Breakfast: Start with a bowl of brown rice for your breakfast. Brown rice gives you energy and carbohydrates for the whole day. However, you can skip the rice for breakfast and eat either papaya or melon followed by 2 glasses of water.

Lunch: If you skip the brown rice during the breakfast, then try to have it now along with cooked vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage and asparagus. You can then have a slice of mango or melon to satisfy your appetite.

In case if you had brown rice for breakfast, then replace lunch with any two different fruits + 2 glasses of water.

Dinner: Again with brown rice + green vegetables or only vegetables of your choice. Note that you should drink 2 glasses of water before going to sleep.

Snacks & Beverages: You can have raisins, strawberries, other fruits during the snack time. Coming to beverages, you can drink water or fruit juice (only during midday snacks).

  1. I have completed my one week diet and i am following this diet again this week. I hope there is no problem in this as i want to shed 10kg? And also are we allowed to add salt in salads, boiled vegetables and "boiled potato on 2 day"?

    ReplyDelete
  2. Hello Sareena! Yes, you can add salt and pepper on day 2 in all foods. But, do give a break of atleast 3-5 days before starting the next diet week.

  3. Hi, I am at the end of day 4....but I have shed less than 2lbs, (less than 1kg).
I made the soup EXACTLY as it was mentioned. day one, only fruit, mostly melon. Day two, some carrots, soup, green peas and soup again for dinner. Day three similar to day two plus some fruit. Day four, 2 bananas, two banana smoothies, two bowls of soup. Why do you think I am not losing rapidly like everyone else seems to suggest? I am being straight on with the diet, no cheats whatsoever. And i am 20lbs overweight, so it's not like I am too skinny to lose. I have also been exercising every day.

  4. Hi Samantha, you're doing the diet perfectly. But, are you consuming enough water as suggested (8-10 glasses) coz in GM diet, water plays a crucial role in shedding away the pounds.

BTW, don't exercise too much while on the diet, coz you'll be having less strength to perform hard workouts. Yoga is preferred.

    1. Sahantha,
I am drinking tons and tons of water (but that's not different from usual, I always drink a ton of water). I am doing some low impact cardio and strength training for about 45-60 mins per day and still following the diet, I am up to the final day of the diet now. Days 5 and 6 were hard just because, well, that's a lot of meat! I did not eat anywhere near 20 ounces, but I tried. I had a lot of veggies too. Only down 2.5 lbs, (about one KG). Any additional tips? Should I try it again? Continue?

    2. Most of the weight loss will happen during the first 3 days of the diet (nearly 3kgs if done right). But, in your case it didn't happen. Can't figure out what's wrong in your case. However, I suggest you to try it again after 4-5 days gap. You'll surely loose weight. Please keep posting the results again..

    3. OK, I will do exactly that because I didn't find the diet hard (other than trying to find food to feed my skinny hubby during the first 4 days!)

  5. Hi. is it necessary for DAY 2 or any day there's vegies that it has to be cooked with out oil? just Boiled? I'm on my 5th and probably finished when you read it. I just want to confirm it cus I read on some article that you should avoid oils. and I'm having my veggies stir fry or grilled always. Thanks

  7. Please tell me the recipe for brown rice. I am confused if the rice to be taken 1 bowl is in raw form or cooked?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It could be eaten only in cooked form. Follow the process below.

First, take your favorite veggies (tomatoes, beans, sprouts, cabbage etc..) and slice them into smaller pieces.
Next, place a bowl on the stove and fry these veggies with a spoon of oil.
Once they're fried evenly, add 3 cups of water into the bowl and boil them for 5 to 10 minutes on a slim mode.
Next, add 1 cup of brown rice (soak it for 30 minutes before adding) into the bowl.

That's it! cook for 15 minutes and there is your vegetable pulao made of brown rice and veggies.

P.S: Add salt, pepper and mirchi as per your requirements for additional taste. Don;t add anything else.

Have it during the lunch and dinner for better results.

Day 5: Prepare Tomato rice with brown rice and tomatoes. No veggies on this day.
for day 6, make vegetable pulao with brown rice and veggies of your choice. No tomatoes on this day.

Since there is no meat on the 7th day, you can follow the plan as mentioned in the above article.

    1. Hello Preksha, do you know that a lot (almost 99%) of people cheat while doing the diet. It is very common and you don't have to drop in the middle. If you're on the 1st day, I'd definitely recommended you to restart the diet but since you've completed 3 days (most boring), i'd suggest you to finish the next 4 days coz they're actually easier & tastier than the first 3 days.

Don't skip it my friend! In the days ahead, you'll be eating bananas, chicken, and juices. It is gonna become tastier.

Continue the diet. All the best and keep us posted on the results.

  11. One point to exercising during diets of this type: Too much exercise will tell your body not to shed weight, the diet is low calorie and exercise burns calories therefor your body says WHOA too much burning I need some to keep. I think the diets are design to reset you, from there once your in a comfort zone of loss then start exercising with improved eating habits.

    1. Hello Sandy, it is not advised to do heavy workouts during the GM Diet plan. Since you'll be on low-carb diet, you won't be having enough strength to perform high intensity exercises. I'd suggest only Yoga during the diet and nothing else.

Please don't workout while on the diet..however you can practice simple aerobics or yoga for better results..once you've completed the 7 days, you can go with the workouts as usual.

I dont like vegi at all... for day 2 in morning I have sweet potatoes with green tea, I noon and night I have corn.... it this a good diet? For day 3 I have ladies finger with onions, bit oil and curry leaves... please correct me on my diet.... thank you..

  14. Hi, it is not advised to drink milk during the first 3 days as you'll end up putting on more pounds rather than losing them if you do so. However, you can make your foods spicy like you needed.

A simple modification in you day 2...

morning: same as you're doing right now.
lunch: veg soup with sweet corn
    dinner: veg soup with corn

during morning and evening snack, try to eat cucumber and beet root by sprinkling some salt and pepper for taste.

Try to use only Olive oil while cooking if needed. Hope you get my point in saying no to milk on the first 3 days..

    1. eating less food is not the same as eating less carbohydrates. So, you may be getting enough carbs to perform exercises. but when you're on the diet, you'll be getting only the required carbs for your body and hence you'll not be having enough strenght to exercise. So, i suggest you to do Yoga instead. and yeah you'll definitely lose 4 kgs easily without any exercise.

I have been very strict other than that. I have been drinking 64 oz water a day and am upping that to 96 oz today. I thought I would have lost more than 6 by now, but 6 is still good. Any suggestions on what I can do for next time? Should I see much weight loss from today (day 5) to day 7?

    1. You'll lose most of the weight during the first 3 days of the gm diet, while the remaining days (foods) help you build up muscle and so many people won't see much changes during the 5, 6 and 7 days. You'll still lose weight on these days but that would be <1 kg on each day. hope you get it..

You can substitute milk with yougurt but tomatoes are to be had as they play a major role in maintaining your health during the diet.

    1. I have suggested 3 days gap to only those who are extremely overweight (+12kgs). But, in your case, you're not too obese. So, your body may not be continuously in burning mode due to the fact that you're only 6kgs overweight. So, my advise would be to give a gap of atleast 1 to 2 weeks (~10 days) before starting the next session (only in such cases where the target weight loss is lesser).

And before this diet past 15 day i have stated my food control like having fruits and veg along with my regular food and walking 4.5 km per day there i have lost 2 kgs. Is the reason i lost only 2.2 kgs in this period. And i had soya chunks along with chilly powder on my day 5 and 6.

What is really happening at the time of GM diet. With this we only loss cholesterol. And suggest me Best meal plan(Day 1 to & 7) after this diet. I am from India.

    1. In order to start this diet, you should wait for at least a week after your periods are over. Soya chunks can;t be the only reason for your results. I suggest you to follow the diet strictly this time, and do remember that most of the weight loss happens on the first 3 days & during the remaining 4 days, you'll regain your lost muscle mass (which is necessary)..

On an average, you'll lose about 3-4 kgs in the first 3 days and 2 kgs in the remaining days..

Once the diet is finished, you can follow this 1200 calorie meal plan for more weight loss.

  44. I have followed diet strictly. My weight was 61.6 kg and height 5.3. But I was able to lose only 2.5 kg. What can be wrong?. I used half spoon ghee while preparing brown rice. I had 3 bowls vegetable soup with salt and pepper every day except day 1. Please suggest.

    1. ghee can pump up extra calories..since we're on a low-carb diet, small mistakes like such can ruin our weight loss results..and drinking more water helps to lose more weight, coz it will help flush the harmful toxins from our body, thus reducing the weight..

  45. Thanks for the reply. I had honey and lemon with warm water in morning. Is it fine? Can I have home made vegetable soup (similar to wonder soup) in unlimited amount during dinner for all the days?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If possible avoid honey with lemon during the diet..try green tea (2 cups per day). Yes, you can have veg soup, but avoid potatoes in it..and it can be a bowl of soup per meal.

  48. Hello,

Thank you for the replies. I had few more queries Mam, if you could help.
    1) I will avoid honey. But at many places, its written that honey/lemon and honey/cinnamon helps in weight loss.
    2) I also read somewhere in the post that wonder soup can be taken at any time in unlimited quantities.
    3) If the height/weight ration is near to perfect, are there chances of less reduction in weight after gm diet ?

    Thanks in Advance

    1. 1. in regular days when you eat normal foods, it is fine. but since you're on a low-cal diet, every small detail matters..so avoid honey..BTW, lemon water is fine.
      2. Yes, wonder soup is preferred too.
      3. No, every time u follow the diet, you'll lose weight. but it is better to stop dieting more often once you reached your ideal BMI.

  50. Hi Sahantha I'm on my Day 7 and never went out of the diet chart till Day 6 as I had beer on Day 6. I dint have brown rice or beef. U think this will impact my weight loss?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes, this will definitely impact your results. Since you've already completed 5 days, there is some good news here. Instead of losing 5 kgs, you'll lose 3 kgs or so..

next time, avoid alcohol during the diet. here is the reason why to avoid alcohol.

  54. Hi, I am on my day 7 ! And lost 2 kgs
    1) I sleep late and wake up late and can't take my meals on time everyday but I do take atleast 3 meals and 8-10 glasses of water.
    2) i do not have enough time for work out.
    3) there are no melons ir watermelons available here in this seasons so I ate other fruits except bananas on the first day.

I just wanna know if I can do better the next time?
Also my skin is not really glowing. Are there any side effects to this diet?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Once u complete the diet, your skin should glow. if not, you're not following the diet properly.

1.it should be 5 or 6 small meals instead of 3 meals..
2.no workout necessary during the diet..
      3.instead drink the wonder soup.

the only sideeffect of this diet would be 'headache' which is easily solved by drinking enough water throughout the day.

  63. Hello, I am confused on the quantity of vegetable/cabbage soup that can be taken during a day. At some places it is mentioned that soup can be taken in unlimited quantity. At other places it is written, 2 bowls a day is enough. Could you please tell me the exact one as I am highly dependent on soup during the diet.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. To be exact, you can have it in unlimited quantities (no one can have it more than 3 or 4 times a day)..so it is said 'unlimited'..You can have the a minimum of 2 bowls (250ml) to max of 4 bows (250ml) per day..

This soup can even be had after the 7 days diet is finished..I prefer to have this for dinner along with a fruit of your choice regularly to maintain your weight and lead a healthy lifestyle..

      Hope u get it..
