GM Diet Day 3 Menu: Sample Foods to Eat

If you’ve successfully completed the Day 1 and Day 2 of the GM diet, then you’ll find the Day 3 meal plan much easier to handle. The hardest days (1 & 2) have passed away and now it's time to mix up the things. Yes, you heard it right.

We’ll be mixing up the Day 1 and Day 2 diet regimens to form the Day 3 General Motors diet regime. On this day, you’re allowed to eat fruits and vegetables in any combination of your choice, of course excluding the Bananas and Potatoes.

How to Prepare Your Body for GM Diet Day 3?

You should also say goodbye to Potatoes on Day 3 because you’ll get the carbohydrates your body needs from the fruits. Now, your system is fully prepared to shed those excess calories from Day 3 onwards. You’ll still have light food cravings on the Day 3 as well but those will be diminished by the time you reach to Day 4.

Also, try to perform breathing exercises like Pranayamam in the morning on Day 3. Doing so will help you get rid of those tensions you gained from Day 1 and 2. In addition, you can do some Yoga exercises to stay active.

GM Diet Meal Suggestions for Day 3

Breakfast: You can choose between Apples and Watermelons but remember not to have both at a time. Choose any one.

Lunch: Try to repeat the same lunch plan from Day 2 and mix some fruits to make your stomach happy.

Dinner: You can consume any combination of boiled vegetables which include Lettuce, Broccoli, Carrots, Cucumbers, boiled beets etc... followed up with some fruits like Apple or Melon.

Snacks: You can have tomatoes, fruits, greeny veg stuff all day without any issues. But remember to drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water per day.

Sample GM Diet Plan for Day 3

Eat Vegetables and Fruits on Day 3 of GM Diet
Breakfast - 8 to 9 AM
  • Either of these. 1 Apple or 1 Cup of diced Melon along with 2 glasses of water.
Morning Snack - 10 to 11 AM
  • 1 bowl of Cantaloupe mixed with Papaya and try to drink at least 2 glasses of water.
Lunch - 12 to 1 PM
  • 1 bowl of mixed cucumber, lettuce and tomato with ½ boiled beet and 2 glasses of water.
Afternoon Snack - 4 to 5 PM
  • 1 Orange or ripe mango and consume 2 glasses of water.
Dinner - 7 to 8 PM
  • 1 bowl of boiled Broccoli, fresh greens and raw papaya and 2 glasses of water.
Points to remember
  • Never drink fruit juices until Day 7 as they’ll contain more sugar and you don’t need it now.
  • At this stage, you’ll already notice that your body has become 2 to 4 pounds lighter which are the positive results of the GM diet.
  • Ensure you vary the consumption of fruits and vegetables for getting better results.
  • You can either have the wonder soup made with cabbages or the power soup made with tomatoes when you feel hungry.
If you’ve completed the GM Diet Day 3 successfully, then the other days are like 123 for you. Go on to the Day 4 GM Diet now where you’ll be surprised to see the diet regimen ;).

    1. green peas will add up pounds which is why they're not suggested in the diet. Don't worry! As you're already on day 3, I suggest you to continue the diet (remaining 4 days) without cheating.

    On my third day toay i had stir- fry vegetables like cabbage, squash, brocolli, cauli- flower, celery, carrot, onion, green peper with few drops of olive oil.

    Would olive oil be taken on third day or its absolute NO.

    1. you can have salt on all the days,,but it is just to add taste..just sprinkle a small spoon and not more..

      Pepper is allowed.

      gap should be 5 to 7 days at least..

  22. hi. I am on day3 and i have hardly lost 500gram of weight. I strictly followed the diet.
    on day 1 it was sweetlimes for breakfast apple and custard apple for lunch and watermelon for dinner
    on day 2 it was 2 small baked potatoes for breakfast, raw carrot, cucumber, cabbage, and tomato for lunch and boiled cauliflower with some salt for dinner.
    today started with sweetlime as breakfast, tomato and gourd cooked in 1 tsp oil with a little salt and pepper.

    what did i do wrong, i dont understand..
    not reduced any weight. i am sad..

    1. there may be many reasons for not losing weight with the gm diet..below are a few major issues..

      1.not drinking enough water daily (2 to 3 litrs); it helps flush out toxins from your body, thus helping u lose more weight.
      2.cabbage soup is a miracle soup that burns fat during this diet..so, it is highly advised to have it on all days.
      3. adding more salt can spoil ur diet. (a pinch of it is not an issue).
      4.should give atleast 1 to 1.5 hour gap between the meals or else the foods you eat earlier will not be digested properly, which inturn is a big spoiler.

      These are a few mistakes which most people do while following any diet..just crosscheck these points and see where you've gone wrong..

    Off on work and couldnt arrange the kind of food prescribed. Ordered veg soup from a local joint and found some sweet corn and some rice-drain water as its contents..that was the only reasonable food available...i had a piece of lettuce. mixed it and had for lunch.
    is it okay ?
    or i have to start from day 1 again ?

      No sweet potato or regular potato on day 3;
      fruits when prepared as juices will contain more sugar, even though u dont add anything in special. so, better eat them raw for more benefits..
      sweet corn will definitely affect ur diet..stay away from it..

    1. No problem with the salt or pepper if you sprinkle a pinch of it on the veggies or fruits..But more than that amount is not good for weight loss.

      If you're feeling light (body) day by day, then you're surely losing weight..if possible, check using a weight scale.

    1. ur day 1 and day 2 menu is good, but are u drinking enough (8 glasses) water daily. If not, then you'll not lose weight properly..water is very much needed in our diet plan.

      If possible dont add sugar or horlicks in the milk..instead add 2 bananas in 250ml of milk and prepare a milkshake..it tastes good..

    1. there is no limit means, until u satisfy the hunger. but many people mistake it to unlimited quantity, which is not recommended.

      Ex: A full apple can fill ur stomach and make u feel full for at least 3 hours..but if u eat 2 or 3 apples at a time, then it would make u suffocate for sure.

      So, plan ur food accordingly for the whole day., but not at a time.

    1. although dry fruits are healthy, they're full of calories..and it is similar in case of sporuts too..since we're keeping the cal away in our diet, it is not recommended to eat them

      Ex: A single almond will give u 7 calories.So, stay away from them at least during the diet.

  50. Hi, On day1 I had Papaya, Watermelon, Passion Fruit and oranges. Eating throughout the day in small quantities(couple of mouths at a time)
    On day2 I had boiled carrrots and beans, eating throught the day.
    On day3 I had apples, watermelon, papaya, oranges and a black channa n capsicum salad
    Is it ok? I dont feel like I have lost any weight!
