GM Diet Day 2 | Vegetarian Recipes and Sample Meal Plan

Similar to the Day 1 GM Diet where you’ve been on a strict fruit-only diet, the 2nd day is limited entirely to vegetables. You can eat all sorts of vegetables on the Day 2 of the GM Diet and there is nothing to avoid in the veg-section.

By eating vegetables, you’ll be getting more fiber and they also help in regulating the sugar content which is deposited on the Day 1. Here are a few GM Diet vegetarian recipes you can try on the day 2.

How to Prepare Your Body for GM Diet Day 2?

Unlike the first day where you would feel lightheaded due to less intake of carbohydrates, Day 2 would make you feel much better.

So, you should eat more Melon for the dinner on Day 1 so that the energy you gain from eating the dinner will last long until the second day of the diet.

Unlike in day 1 where you’re restricted to eating Bananas, on Day 2 you can have almost all vegetables even those rich in starch, such as potatoes. The second day routine will give your more energy and you can also perform strenuous activities and HIIT exercises if you wanted to.

Foods to Eat on Day 2 of the GM Diet

Breakfast: Start your breakfast with a large boiled Potato and it would keep your stomach full as well as the body gets energized for the rest of the day. People who live in the tropical countries may consider Cassava or Sweet Potato instead of the regular Potato. However, they should be careful not to add any sugar to the meal.

Lunch: This should be lighter. You can have vegetable salads made of Cucumber, lettuce and Cabbage. You can also dress your salads with Vinaigrette or Olive oil but not to use Mayonnaise as it would add some extra fat.

Dinner: You can have fresh greens that include Broccoli, Cabbage, Lettuce, Asparagus and Cucumber. Additionally, you can have boiled beets but many feel beets to be heavier on their stomach.

Along with these, drink enough water throughout the day.

Sample GM Diet Plan for Day 2

GM Diet Day 2 Vegetables List

Breakfast – 8 to 9 AM
  • 1 cup of boiled Potato + 1 or 2 glasses of water.
Morning Snack - 10:30 to 11 AM
  • 1 bowl of Cabbage or red lettuce (raw) + 2 glasses of water
Lunch – 12 to 1 PM
  • 1 Tomato, 1 Cucumber and ½ boiled beet + 2 glasses of water
Mid-noon Snack – 4 to 5 PM
  • 2 Tomatoes or 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes and drink 2 glasses of water.
Dinner – 7 to 8 PM
  • Boiled Broccoli, Cauliflower and Asparagus with salt and spices and drink at least 2 glasses of water.

Points to be remembered
  • No fruits at all. As you already have sugar from your Day1 diet, you don’t want to add any more.
  • Don’t add oil for cooking as much as possible. In case if you still want it, try to use 100% natural butter or virgin olive oil.
  • You can have the Cabbage soup whenever you feel hungry.

Have you successfully completed the GM diet Day 2 regimen? Then you’re good to go through the Day 3 GM diet regimen.

    1. Pulses are high in protein. On day 2 the intake is veggies.. Even the starchy ones. But No protein.

    1. No problem! You can add sweet corn and green peas in the soup or salaad. But, don't overdo it. Limited quantity would be fine.

    1. Yes, you can add these to spice up your food. you can also add oil (1 or 2 tbs) to cook vegetables but make sure it is 'Olive oil'. All other oils should be avoided during the diet.

    1. corns may add up few calories..but don;t skip the diet..you'll still lose weight on day 3 and 4...and gain muscle mass on 5, 6 and 7..

    1. In general you can have the soup on any day, but what I've personally seen is that I've lost more weight if i skipped the soup on day 1. Just a simple reason, I had more fruits on that day.

      Have potato in the morning & Butternut Squash later (olive oil & salt is ok).

    2. I had soup on the first day for dinner. Simply because I am a CNA and running around all night. I also burned 500cal at the gym. But as long as you try to eat mainly fruit you'll be okay to have some soup. I had like 1.5 cups and still lost four pounds that day. I stuck to loupe and one apple other than the soup. Only cardio.. nooo lifting. Too weak for that.

    1. Don't do strenuous workouts on days 1,2,3 and 4 because you'll not be having enough strength to perform those exercises. However, you can go to gym during the remaining days (5,6 and 7).

  35. Among other doubts, is it okay to have daal of the moong or masoor variety? If yes, then that makes my day 2 very easy as I can mix all the boiled veggies in the daal and have it.

    But is it better to just have raw, boiled or cooked veggies as they are without taking the aid of daal. What is more beneficial towards weight loss?

    And should tomatoes only be restricted to Day 5?

    1. If you want the best weight loss results possible, then i suggest you to have the veggies in the soup form (cabbage soup) with some sprouts for taste (lunch & dinner on day 2).

      you can have tomatoes on day 2,3,5 in raw form and all days in the soup version.. no issues with that..

Can I replace wonder cabbage soup with okro which is also a vegetable albeit slimy. I very much enjoy eating it as it can be prepared without oil and just a bit of salt and pepper . Thanks
