GM Diet: Brown Rice with Moong Sprouts Recipe

The GM Diet plan is one of the quickest ways to lose weight without starving or spoiling your health. The main benefit of the General Motors diet lies in the foods that are suggested during the program. Eating brown rice is a bit difficult for the starters as we're habituated to the white rice, which is of no use to our health and a lot of diet experts say that white rice is a health spoiler. So, here is a simple brown rice recipe made of moon sprouts to make it tastier.

Ingredients

  • Brown rice - 1/2 cup (150 or 200 ml rice cup: Soak the rice in water for at least 30 min to 1 hour before cooking)
  • Moong Sprouts - 1/2 cup (Soaked in water last night)
  • Roasted Peanuts - 3 tbsp
  • Chopped Coriander - Your taste
  • Chopped Onion - 1/2
  • Salt and Chili Powder - as required

How to Prepare Moong Sprouts mixed Brown Rice?


First, in a bowl (cooker), add Olive oil and fry the onions and peanuts until golden brown. Next, add some water (250 to 300 ml). Once the water is boiling, add the brown rice, sprouts, salt and chili powder. Cook on a medium flame for 10 to 15 minutes or until you hear 3 whistles (if using a cooker). Sprinkle the coriander leaves on the brown rice and serve hot.

      chicken - either in roasted (with olive oil) or boiled (soup) form.
      egg - boiled or toasted with brown bread

    1. Hello ravi, you can have either brown rice or chicken but not both on the same day. You can play with the chicken recipes until unless you don't add too much oil and flavors..

    1. after gm diet, you can follow the 1200 cal or 1500 cal diet plan until u start ur next gm diet session..this wil help u maintain ur lost weight..

      1 & 2: mid-noon snack & dinner time
      3: dinner
      4. before breakfast & evening snack
      5. chapati for dinner; dosa for breakfast
      6. breakfast
      7. before breakfast & in wonder soup
      8. lunch (all heavy meals for lunch only)
      9. lunch
      10. snacks (mid-noon or evening)

You can definitely lose weight by doing just the GM diet. but the results won't last long unless you change your lifestyle..So, even if you lose weight, it is advised to exercise for at least 30 minutes in order to maintain your weight.. If time is the problem, then you can try this 7 minute HIIT workout.

      However, you can drink coconut water on day 2, 3 and day 7

  12. Canned foods are usually diet spoilers. If possible, avoid canned food items. And yes, moong daal can be used, but in limits.
